What makes text on a photo readable

Contrast, not cleverness. The template lays a gradient under the words so the type survives a busy picture, which is the single thing most photo posts get wrong. Text placed straight onto a bright sky disappears at feed size, no matter how good the font is.

Choose photographs with somewhere quiet to put the words. A picture with an empty corner is worth more here than a technically better shot with detail everywhere.

One photo for the deck, or one per slide

A single photo behind every slide holds the deck together and looks deliberate. Use it when the pictures are interchangeable, for a quote series or a set of tips over one scene.

Swap in a photo on individual slides when the image is the point: a before and after, a product from three angles, a trip in order. The template mixes both, so a deck can share one background and still give two slides their own picture.

Upload sizes get handled for you. Pictures are scaled down in the browser before export, so a photo straight off a camera does not have to be resized first.

Before you export

Pick photos with an empty area where the headline will sit.
Keep headlines to a few words. Long text over an image reads as a caption, not a hook.
Use one photo for the whole deck unless a slide genuinely needs its own.
Check the first slide as a thumbnail. That is the only frame most people judge.
