Checklist carousel generator

A checklist carousel turns advice into a list somebody can actually finish. Each slide raises one item and shows the ones already ticked, so progress is visible on every frame and the reader always knows how much is left.

5 slides is over the limit on Bluesky (4) and X (Twitter) (4). Those posts get rejected rather than trimmed, so hide or remove some, or split the carousel across more than one post.

This carousel lives in this browser. An account keeps it.

Everything you have typed here is stored on this device only, so it is gone the moment you clear your browser or switch to your phone. With a PublishQ account it belongs to you instead:

  • Your carousels are saved, so you can come back and edit them.
  • The images you upload stay in your media library.
  • Your logo is stored once and reused on every carousel.
  • Brand name, handle, and colours stop being retyped.
  • Publish straight to every social account you connect — no downloading, no second tab.

Why a visible list beats a list of tips

A plain tips carousel gives no sense of scale, so every slide is a fresh decision about whether to keep going. A checklist says up front how many items there are and shows what is already crossed off, so the reader is asking how far along they are instead of whether there is any point.

It stays useful after the scroll, too. People save a checklist because they will want it again before they do the thing it describes, and a saved post keeps circulating long after the likes stop.

Visible progress has a side effect worth knowing: a longer deck feels shorter. Seven ticked items read faster than five unstructured tips, because the remaining pile is shrinking in front of you.

Writing items that can actually be ticked

Every item has to be something a person can do and then confirm. "Be more authentic" cannot be ticked. "Cut the first sentence" can. If you cannot picture someone finishing an item in one sitting, it is a topic rather than an item.

Use one grammar for the whole list, either all imperatives or all noun phrases. Mixed forms read as an unedited brain dump, and the eye catches the inconsistency before it reads a word.

Keep the count honest and small. Five to seven items still looks conquerable at a glance. Past ten the ticks get too small to read and the promise stops being believable.

Where a checklist carousel earns its place

It fits anything with a right order: pre flight routines, audits, onboarding steps, what to check before a launch. Portrait 4:5 keeps the rows readable in a feed, and 9:16 works for a photo carousel sitting alongside video.

It fits opinions and stories badly. If the items could be shuffled without changing the meaning, and nothing can be confirmed as done, another template will serve the same content better.

Before you export

  • Put the number of items on the first slide. A finite list is what earns the swipe.
  • Start every item with a verb so it reads as an action rather than a theme.
  • Order the items the way somebody would actually do them.
  • Leave the last slide for the ask, so the list itself ends on a clean tick.

This tool is free, forever. No accounts, no paywalls, no catch.

Everything you need to know about Checklist carousel generator from PublishQ

A swipeable post where each slide raises one item and shows the earlier ones already ticked. The visible progress is what pulls people to the end.
Five to seven. Enough to be worth saving, still small enough to look finishable at a glance. Ten is the ceiling on most platforms.
Make it one action someone can confirm they did. Start with a verb, stay under about ten words, and use the same grammatical form for every item.
Because they are useful again later. People save the list to run through it when they do the task, and saves keep a post alive far longer than likes.
Yes. The accent colour drives the ticks and highlights, and your brand name, handle and logo appear on every slide of the deck.

— me 👋

Hi, I'm Alexandro 👋

I left my Software Engineer role at Amazon to build tools that solve real problems — the kind big companies ignore because they read spreadsheets instead of using their own products.

I was spending over an hour daily just scheduling 2 shorts across 3 platforms — logging in, reformatting, uploading one by one. That felt broken. So I built PublishQPublishQ . Now I create 4 shorts in 3 minutes and schedule them to 4 platforms in under 30 seconds.

PublishQ is bootstrapped. No investors, no vanity metrics. I build what actually helps you — because I use it every day myself.

Thank you,

Alexandro
