LinkedIn carousel generator

A LinkedIn carousel generator makes the slides for a swipeable LinkedIn post. Write them here, export at 1080x1350, and attach them as a multi image update, which is the route that keeps working now that document carousels are no longer the only option.

  • Bluesky4
  • X (Twitter)4
  • Instagram10
  • Facebook20
  • LinkedIn20
  • Threads20
  • TikTok35

5 slides is over the limit on Bluesky (4) and X (Twitter) (4). Those posts get rejected rather than trimmed, so hide or remove some, or split the carousel across more than one post.

This carousel lives in this browser. An account keeps it.

Everything you have typed here is stored on this device only, so it is gone the moment you clear your browser or switch to your phone. With a PublishQ account it belongs to you instead:

  • Your carousels are saved, so you can come back and edit them.
  • The images you upload stay in your media library.
  • Your logo is stored once and reused on every carousel.
  • Brand name, handle, and colours stop being retyped.
  • Publish straight to every social account you connect — no downloading, no second tab.

Multi image post or PDF document: what to use on LinkedIn

LinkedIn has two swipeable formats. A multi image post takes up to 20 images and behaves like a normal carousel. A document post takes a PDF and shows it as pages people page through, with a download button attached.

Images are the simpler road. There is no PDF export step, no font embedding surprise, no page that renders differently on mobile, and scheduling tools handle images without special cases. Documents still earn their place when the deck is genuinely a resource somebody will want to keep on their laptop.

Either way the slides themselves are the same work, so build them as images first. If you later decide the deck deserves to be a downloadable PDF, you already have the pages.

What actually gets read on LinkedIn

LinkedIn is a feed of people at work, mostly skimming between meetings. Slides that give one concrete thing per frame do far better than slides that build an argument slowly. Numbers, mistakes, a before and after, the thing you would say out loud in a standup.

The tone matters more here than on other platforms. LinkedIn punishes obvious ad copy and rewards specifics, so write like you are explaining something to a colleague rather than pitching a stranger.

The first two lines of the post text carry the click, because LinkedIn truncates around there. Say the point in those lines, then let the slides do the explaining.

LinkedIn carousel size and slide count

Portrait 1080x1350 is the largest uncropped size in the LinkedIn feed and it is what this generator preselects. Square 1080x1080 also works and is worth using if the same deck goes to X or Facebook.

The hard cap on a multi image post is 20 images, but the practical range is far lower. Eight to twelve slides is where a LinkedIn deck usually stops being read, and ten is a safe ceiling if the same deck also goes to Instagram.

Before you export

  • Lead with the outcome. LinkedIn readers decide in two lines whether the rest is worth their time.
  • Use numbers you actually have. Specific figures are the one thing that reliably survives a skim.
  • Keep text well inside the frame. Slides get read on phones at a fraction of their real size.
  • Skip the PDF unless the deck is something people want to keep. Images are less to go wrong.

This tool is free, forever. No accounts, no paywalls, no catch.

Everything you need to know about LinkedIn carousel generator from PublishQ

1080x1350 (4:5 portrait) gives you the most uncropped space in the feed. Square 1080x1080 is the better pick if the same slides also go somewhere with a stricter grid, such as X.
A multi image post takes up to 20 images. Most decks lose their reader well before that, so eight to twelve is a more useful target.
Yes, document posts still exist and show a PDF as swipeable pages with a download option. Images are simpler to produce and schedule, so use the PDF only when the deck is meant to be kept.
Export the slides here, then attach them to a scheduled post in PublishQ for your connected LinkedIn page or profile. The images are published together as one multi image update.
They tend to hold attention longer, which is what LinkedIn measures. A good text post can still beat a weak carousel, so the format is not a shortcut past having something to say.
Yes. Upload your logo once and it appears on every slide alongside your brand name. The file stays in your browser and is resized before it is used.

— me 👋

Hi, I'm Alexandro 👋

I left my Software Engineer role at Amazon to build tools that solve real problems — the kind big companies ignore because they read spreadsheets instead of using their own products.

I was spending over an hour daily just scheduling 2 shorts across 3 platforms — logging in, reformatting, uploading one by one. That felt broken. So I built PublishQPublishQ . Now I create 4 shorts in 3 minutes and schedule them to 4 platforms in under 30 seconds.

PublishQ is bootstrapped. No investors, no vanity metrics. I build what actually helps you — because I use it every day myself.

Thank you,

Alexandro
