Receipt carousel generator

A receipt carousel prints your points the way a shop prints a bill: one line at a time, with a total waiting at the bottom. People read receipts without being asked to, and that habit is what carries them through all ten slides.

5 slides is over the limit on Bluesky (4) and X (Twitter) (4). Those posts get rejected rather than trimmed, so hide or remove some, or split the carousel across more than one post.

This carousel lives in this browser. An account keeps it.

Everything you have typed here is stored on this device only, so it is gone the moment you clear your browser or switch to your phone. With a PublishQ account it belongs to you instead:

  • Your carousels are saved, so you can come back and edit them.
  • The images you upload stay in your media library.
  • Your logo is stored once and reused on every carousel.
  • Brand name, handle, and colours stop being retyped.
  • Publish straight to every social account you connect — no downloading, no second tab.

Why a receipt makes numbers feel true

Nobody argues with a till roll. It is the least persuasive looking document in the world, which is exactly why a number printed on one lands harder than the same number set in a big friendly font on a gradient.

The running total does the work a caption usually has to beg for. Once a reader can see the bill adding up, they want to know what it comes to, so the last slide gets opened instead of skipped.

What to itemise on each line

Costs are the obvious fit: what a launch actually cost you, what a tool stack adds up to, what a year of a bad habit charged you in hours. Money is not the only unit though. Hours, sign ups, rejected pitches and cold emails all itemise well.

Write the line the way a receipt would, short and factual, and let the number carry the drama. The slide has room for one comment underneath, so use it to say why the line exists rather than to repeat it.

End on a total that means something. A number that is bigger than a reader expected is the whole payoff of the format, and it gives them a reason to send the deck to somebody else.

Before you export

  • Keep every line in the same unit so the total is honest.
  • Put your biggest, least expected line near the end rather than first.
  • Write the label short. A receipt line that wraps stops looking like a receipt.
  • Say what the total means on the last slide instead of leaving the reader to work it out.

This tool is free, forever. No accounts, no paywalls, no catch.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Receipt carousel generator from PublishQ

A swipeable post laid out like a printed till receipt. Each slide adds one itemised line, and the final slide shows the total, which gives readers a reason to reach the end.
No. Any unit that adds up works: hours spent, clients lost, applications sent, calls booked. Keep one unit for the whole deck so the total makes sense.
Six to ten reads best. Fewer feels like it stopped early, and more than ten makes the running list too small to read on a phone.
Yes. Your brand name, handle and logo print in the ticket header, and the accent colour sets the ink, so the receipt looks like it came from you.
Yes. Export the whole deck at full resolution with no watermark and no sign up. Slides render in your browser, so nothing is uploaded.

PublishQ

— me 👋

Hi, I'm Alexandro 👋

I left my Software Engineer role at Amazon to build tools that solve real problems — the kind big companies ignore because they read spreadsheets instead of using their own products.

I was spending over an hour daily just scheduling 2 shorts across 3 platforms — logging in, reformatting, uploading one by one. That felt broken. So I built PublishQPublishQ . Now I create 4 shorts in 3 minutes and schedule them to 4 platforms in under 30 seconds.

PublishQ is bootstrapped. No investors, no vanity metrics. I build what actually helps you — because I use it every day myself.

Thank you,

Alexandro
