Privacy Policy

Last updated: 7 September 2026

Introduction

PublishQ ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our social media management platform.

Information We Collect

We collect information from you when you register, connect social media accounts, or use our services:

  • Personal information (name, email address, profile pictures) to personalize your experience
  • Social media account access tokens to enable cross-posting functionality to your social media accounts
  • Usage data and analytics related to your account to improve our services and user experience

How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and maintain our service
  • To process and complete transactions
  • To manage your social media accounts according to your instructions
  • To send administrative information and service updates
  • To improve our services and user experience
  • To communicate with you about your account or our services

Social Media Connections

When you connect social media accounts (including YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, and others), we access your account data through official APIs in accordance with each platform's terms. We only access information necessary to provide our services and maintain the access permissions you explicitly grant.

Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information. Your social media tokens are encrypted in transit and at rest. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.

YouTube API Services

PublishQ uses YouTube API Services to publish videos to the YouTube channels you connect. By using PublishQ to interact with YouTube, you are also agreeing to the YouTube Terms of Service and to Google's Privacy Policy.

Through the YouTube Data API we access the name and identifier of the channel you authorize, the videos you publish through PublishQ, and the public statistics for those videos such as view, like and comment counts. We use this to upload your videos, confirm that they were published, and show you how they performed inside your own account. Your YouTube data is never shown to anyone other than you.

You can revoke PublishQ's access to your YouTube data at any time, either by disconnecting the account in PublishQ or through Google's security settings. When access is revoked we revoke the token with Google and delete the data we stored for that channel within 7 days. Deleting data in PublishQ does not delete anything on YouTube itself. To remove a video from YouTube, use YouTube directly.

Third-Party Services

As we integrate with various social media platforms including YouTube (via YouTube API Services), your data may also be subject to those platforms' privacy policies. For YouTube specifically, please refer to Google's Privacy Policy for information on how Google collects and processes data.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to run the service and to measure how it is used. Some keep you signed in and are cleared when you close your browser; others persist so we can recognize you on your next visit. We do not use advertising cookies. You can block or clear cookies in your browser, though signing in will not work without the session cookie.

Data Sharing

The purpose of PublishQ is to publish your content to the social networks you have connected, so content and account information is sent to a platform when you ask us to publish to it. Once content reaches that platform, its use is governed by the platform's own privacy policy.

We also use third-party providers to perform functions on our behalf, such as file storage, payment processing, service emails and product analytics. They receive only what they need to do that work and are not permitted to use it for anything else. We do not sell your information.

Your Data Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of your personal information. Contact us at [email protected] to exercise these rights.

Children's Privacy

Our services are not intended for individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by posting a prominent notice on the site or by other appropriate means, and we will update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of PublishQ after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
