Editorial carousel generator

An editorial carousel treats your words like a magazine treats an essay: a serif face, a drop cap opening the first slide, and hairline rules holding the page together. It gives an opinion the weight that a sans serif slide never quite manages.

5 slides is over the limit on Bluesky (4) and X (Twitter) (4). Those posts get rejected rather than trimmed, so hide or remove some, or split the carousel across more than one post.

This carousel lives in this browser. An account keeps it.

Everything you have typed here is stored on this device only, so it is gone the moment you clear your browser or switch to your phone. With a PublishQ account it belongs to you instead:

  • Your carousels are saved, so you can come back and edit them.
  • The images you upload stay in your media library.
  • Your logo is stored once and reused on every carousel.
  • Brand name, handle, and colours stop being retyped.
  • Publish straight to every social account you connect — no downloading, no second tab.

Serif type changes how an argument is read

The same sentence reads differently in a magazine face than in a product sans. One sounds considered and the other sounds like an announcement, and for an opinion piece the first is what you want.

A drop cap on the opening slide also does something practical. It marks where to start reading in a feed full of centred text, so the eye lands in the right place without a label telling it to.

Write it as an essay, not as bullet points

This is the one template that rewards full sentences. Give each slide a claim and a couple of lines that earn it, and let the type do the work that icons and boxes do elsewhere.

Keep the deck to one argument. Editorial layouts fall apart when they carry six unrelated tips, because there is no visual scaffolding to separate them. If the ideas are unrelated, a checklist or a numbered template fits better.

Before you export

  • One claim per slide, then two lines that defend it.
  • Let the opening slide be the thesis rather than a title.
  • Resist adding icons. The type is the design here.
  • Read it aloud before exporting. Editorial copy that stumbles out loud reads worse on screen.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Editorial carousel generator from PublishQ

A swipeable post set like a magazine article: serif type, a drop cap on the opening slide, and thin rules structuring each page. It suits essays, opinions and longer arguments.
Not at the sizes a carousel uses. Problems come from long lines and small body text, so keep the measure short and the type large rather than switching face.
A headline and two or three lines. Beyond that the reader stops reading and starts scanning, which defeats the reason for choosing this layout.
It works particularly well there, because the audience is already reading long posts. Keep it at 4:5 so the type stays large in the feed.
Yes. The accent colours the rules, the drop cap and the progress line, so one colour choice runs through the whole spread.

— me 👋

Hi, I'm Alexandro 👋

I left my Software Engineer role at Amazon to build tools that solve real problems — the kind big companies ignore because they read spreadsheets instead of using their own products.

I was spending over an hour daily just scheduling 2 shorts across 3 platforms — logging in, reformatting, uploading one by one. That felt broken. So I built PublishQPublishQ . Now I create 4 shorts in 3 minutes and schedule them to 4 platforms in under 30 seconds.

PublishQ is bootstrapped. No investors, no vanity metrics. I build what actually helps you — because I use it every day myself.

Thank you,

Alexandro
