X (Twitter) carousel generator

A post on X holds four images. They are shown as a grid, cropped to fit it, and tapping one opens the full image with left and right arrows. So the reader sees four thumbnails at once, then browses. There is no forced order the way there is in a swipe.

The consequence is worth taking seriously: your slides are read out of order. Build four that each stand alone, and do not write "as I said on slide two".

Crops in the grid are aggressive. Two images side by side get taller narrow tiles, four get near squares. Anything at the edge of a slide is at risk until the reader taps in.

Portrait 4:5 at 1080x1350 is a good default because it holds up when the grid makes tiles taller than they are wide. Square 1080x1080 is the safest choice if you want the grid to look even.

Keep the type large. The grid thumbnail is the first and sometimes only view, and X compresses images fairly hard, so thin light type comes out mushy.
