A visible stack is a progress bar nobody minds

People are impatient with decks that could go on forever. Cards waiting behind the current one answer the question before it is asked, so the reader relaxes and keeps going.

The card also sets a size limit that helps you. A ruled card is obviously too small for a paragraph, so the format pushes every idea down to the one line that mattered.

What belongs on a card

Definitions, terms, questions and facts. Anything you would revise from works, which makes this the natural template for explainers, glossaries and quiz style posts.

Front and back thinking helps. Put the term or the question as the headline, the answer as the line under it, and let each card stand alone so a screenshot of any single slide still makes sense.
