Facebook post previewer
A Facebook post previewer renders your post the way a Page timeline will: your text above the media, the album grid Facebook builds from however many photos you attached, and the Reel or Story canvas with Facebook’s own overlays on top.

The album grid changes shape with the photo count
Facebook does not lay out four photos the way it lays out two. Two photos sit side by side as squares. Three or four give you one 5:4 photo on top with the rest in a row of squares underneath. From five on, the top row carries two squares and three tiles go below, and the last tile takes a "+N" badge for everything that did not fit.
That matters because the square tiles crop. A tall product shot dropped into a row of squares loses its top and bottom, and you find out after publishing. Adding or removing one photo reshuffles the whole grid, which is the fastest way to accidentally crop the one image that mattered.
An album holds up to 20 photos and the text field takes 63,206 characters, so length is never the constraint on Facebook. Layout is.
Links, Reels and Stories
Facebook builds a link preview card from the first URL in your text, so a post with two links previews the first one and the reader may never notice the second. If the card is the point of the post, put that URL first.
Facebook unified its video uploads under Reels, and a Story is a separate full screen canvas with no caption field at all. Both paint their own interface over your media: a progress bar and a profile row at the top, a reply field and buttons at the bottom. Preview those two formats with the actual file, not with a template.
Before you publish
- Count your photos before you write the caption. Two, four and six photos each produce a different grid, and the tiles crop.
- Put the URL you want previewed first. Facebook builds the card from the first link it finds.
- Facebook Stories carry no caption, so any words you need read have to be burned into the image or video.
- A Page post and a personal profile post look the same in a preview but not in reach. Connect the Page you actually publish from.

— me 👋
Hi, I'm Alexandro 👋
I left my Software Engineer role at Amazon to build tools that solve real problems — the kind big companies ignore because they read spreadsheets instead of using their own products.
I was spending over an hour daily just scheduling 2 shorts across 3 platforms — logging in, reformatting, uploading one by one. That felt broken. So I built PublishQ . Now I create 4 shorts in 3 minutes and schedule them to 4 platforms in under 30 seconds.
PublishQ is bootstrapped. No investors, no vanity metrics. I build what actually helps you — because I use it every day myself.
Thank you,
Alexandro
