Captions for TikTok
Drop your clip in here and the words are timed one by one, then burned into a new MP4 with no watermark. Nothing is uploaded, so there is nothing to queue behind.

Captions in the pixels go everywhere the file goes
TikTok will caption your video for you after you upload it, and for a single post that is often enough. The problem starts the moment the clip has a second life. Text you added inside TikTok belongs to that draft: it does not come with the file when you save the video out, it does not come with you when you post the same clip to another app, and it is gone if you delete and repost. Captions burned into the frames come with the pixels, because they are the pixels.
The other thing you get by doing it here is control over where they sit. TikTok stacks its own interface over the bottom of a vertical video, and the height of that stack depends on your caption length and the device, which is why no fixed safe-zone template is quite right. The position slider on this page moves the captions up out of the way and the preview shows you exactly where they will land, because the preview is the same renderer that writes the file.
And nothing here is watermarked. That matters more on TikTok than anywhere else, since a competitor's watermark on a video is both an advert for them and a reason for the feed to treat your upload as reposted content.
Getting captions into TikTok
Take the burned-in MP4. TikTok has no way to accept a subtitle file on upload, so the captions have to be in the picture.
- Drop your clip above and let the words be timed on your device.
- Pick a style, then drag the position up so TikTok's own interface will not cover the words.
- Burn the captions into a new MP4.
- Upload that MP4 to TikTok as normal.

— me 👋
Hi, I'm Alexandro 👋
I left my Software Engineer role at Amazon to build tools that solve real problems — the kind big companies ignore because they read spreadsheets instead of using their own products.
I was spending over an hour daily just scheduling 2 shorts across 3 platforms — logging in, reformatting, uploading one by one. That felt broken. So I built PublishQ . Now I create 4 shorts in 3 minutes and schedule them to 4 platforms in under 30 seconds.
PublishQ is bootstrapped. No investors, no vanity metrics. I build what actually helps you — because I use it every day myself.
Thank you,
Alexandro
