Instagram Data Deletion Instructions

Overview

This page provides step-by-step instructions on how to remove PublishQ's access to your Instagram account and delete your data. Once you follow these steps, PublishQ will no longer have access to your Instagram account, and any data we have stored will be automatically removed from our systems.

How to Remove PublishQ from Your Instagram Account

Method 1: Through Instagram Settings (Recommended)

  1. Open the Instagram app on your mobile device or visit instagram.com in your web browser
  2. Go to your profile by tapping your profile picture in the bottom right
  3. Tap the three horizontal lines (☰) in the top right corner
  4. Select "Settings and privacy"
  5. Scroll down and tap "Website permissions" or "Apps and websites"
  6. Look for "PublishQ" in the list of connected apps
  7. Tap on PublishQ, then select "Remove" or "Revoke access"
  8. Confirm the removal when prompted

Method 2: Through PublishQ Dashboard

  1. Log into your PublishQ account
  2. Go to the Accounts section
  3. Find your Instagram account in the connected accounts list
  4. Click the "Disconnect" or "Remove" button next to your Instagram account
  5. Confirm the disconnection when prompted

Method 3: Through Facebook Business Settings (If applicable)

If you connected Instagram through Facebook Business Manager:

  1. Go to business.facebook.com
  2. Navigate to Business Settings
  3. Click on "Apps" in the left sidebar
  4. Find PublishQ in the list of connected apps
  5. Click on PublishQ and select "Remove App"
  6. Confirm the removal

What Happens When You Remove PublishQ

  • PublishQ will immediately lose access to your Instagram account
  • We can no longer post, read, or access any data from your Instagram account
  • Any scheduled posts to Instagram will be not be published
  • Your PublishQ account will remain active, but the Instagram connection will be removed

Troubleshooting

Can't find PublishQ in your Instagram settings?

This might mean the connection was already removed or never properly established. You can verify by trying to post to Instagram from PublishQ - if it asks you to reconnect, then the connection has been successfully removed.

Important Note

This process only removes PublishQ's access to your Instagram account. Your Instagram account itself and all your Instagram content will remain unchanged. Only the connection between PublishQ and Instagram will be removed.
